Musings of Melody was born out of a desire to share my thoughts with family and loved ones, recognizing that truth often emerges through the written word. In the weeks leading to my father's passing, I grappled with a hard realization: the stories and memories I had written about him, with the intention of someday sharing them on a blog for my family, would never be witnessed by him.

 

I allowed those days to be filled with embracing each little moment and found comfort in knowing that there are big loves in our life where not every echo of love and admiration have to be written or said.

 

Some of those writings I will eventually post, some I even wrote in the moments of laying by his side during those final days. Though I faced a hard realization that there would be moments we would never share again, I also found a new understanding that sometimes my desire for over-communication in my relationships is completely unnecessary.

 

I made a promise to myself that moving forward in life, the essence of his spirit would forever be intertwined with the narratives of my heart, cherished and preserved for generations to come.
