The Comfort of the Counterfeit

God may send you someone whose path to you is not easy.

There will be resistance. Misunderstanding.

Moments where pride must bend and patience must grow.

What is meant for you often requires refinement, humility, perseverance.

Because what comes from Him is meant to shape you, not simply satisfy you.

It will ask you to communicate when silence feels safer.

To forgive when ego wants to win.

To stay steady when emotion wants to run.

Growth rarely feels effortless.

But if you abandon what was meant to strengthen you,

what comes next may feel easier.

Easier conversations.

Easier validation.

Easier comfort.

The counterfeit offers comfort without conviction,

because easier is often the language of the superficial.

But easy is not always holy.

Because what is not sent by Him does not refine ... it indulges.

It feeds impatience instead of teaching patience.

It rewards pride instead of growing humility.

It comforts weakness instead of strengthening character.

What comes easily may quietly call forward the worst of what you struggle to overcome.

Not everything that feels peaceful is purposeful.

Not everything that feels good is good for you.

What is from Him will challenge you to become better.

What is not will make you comfortable staying the same.

And comfort has never been the goal of transformation.
